Good system of Practice
This provides a good system of practice when you don't have private teacher. The long tone (with dynamics) exercises at the beginning are greate for building breath control, good tone, good attach, and range. The advice of providing sufficient rest between exercises is great. I would add more flexibility exercises...

Marching Orders Toward Better Playing
Claude Gordon was one of the premier trumpet players of all time. He had a knack for relating to young start-up players, and inspiring all of us. He was very disciplined. It showed in his playing. "Systematic Approach" is the roadmap to top ability. I picked my trumpet back up...

Best laid-out daily practice routine
Have used this book for several years. Absolutely the best laid-out daily routine ever put to print. He uses not just his book, but calls on other great trumpet method books to help the player. Study and improve greatly.
