interesting and satisfying to play

Apparently a piano duet reduction of this symphony was played to the conductor Arthur Nikisch in Leipzig, to persuade him to give the first orchestral performance in 1884. I imagine that's the origin of this duet edition (though there are no notes with it to confirm that). Anyway, it is...

A great symphony in accessible 4H format

This is Bruckner's own transcription of his most popular symphony for four-hands one-piano duet. It is pretty playable, and affords the players extra insights into Bruckner's beautiful and masterful music. Wish there were more like it!
