Excellent

This is a beautiful, hard cover bound edition of Shostakovich' masterpiece. The engraving and typesetting are of excellent quality. It also has an interesting introduction with historical footnotes.

A very definitive edition, with modern typesetting, excellent additional information about origins and the first performance. Very sturdy hardcovers, will last Your lifetime easily. Highly (should I say highest) rated.

Interesting additional information

Exactly what it should be, a score, but the extra information in the back about the conception of this wonderful music is very welcome and interesting.
