Wowiee :)

I absolutely adore this book! :) the music is so well written and is actually what is heard in the movie not just the melody like in so many other books. I've been playing piano for 11 years and I find some of the music quite tricky but most of it i thoroghly enjoy playing. And the vocal line is spot on, with spoken quotes and everything! i would reccommend this book to anyone who enjoys the songs.

Chilling Music and Lyrics

The music is so like the original arrangement. My young male voice student enjoys singing the lyrics and the music is challenging enough for him to learn new vocal techniques. A good additional to any vocal theater repertoire.

A bloody wonder

I ablsolutely love this sheet music. It has a beautiful sound to it, and when played correctly, sounds just like the movie soundtrack. I am a violinist who has played for about 4 years now, and was overjoyed to have found something that was challenging, yet fun to play. Another good thing about this book is that the songs are not all easy and they are not all exteremely difficult, but that they are written at different levels of difficulty, giving the musician songs to work up to (my teacher was very happy about this as well, seeing as most songs I like playing are considered easy for my level). Overall, I deeply enjoyed playing this, and hope many other people do as well.

Music for giant hands!

Some of this music is quite difficult and requires hands which span large intervals. I bought it for my 13 y.o daughter who loved the movie, but she finds it very difficult, despite having played piano for the past 8 years.

Sweeny Todd a hit again!

Extremely pleased with the sheet music from Sweeny Todd. It's exactly like the movie. Pieces are accommodating to almost any level pianist. Well worth the wait and a bargain for the quality.

Worth every penny

After seeing the movie version, I checked the original "Vocal Selections" book (with the white cover) and full score versions out of local libraries. I was disappointed by both. The new book (Sweeney Todd: Movie Selections) is exactly what I was looking for: All the major songs from the film; in their entirety (including interspersed dialogue, intros and outros); in the exact same keys as in the film; and with a full, lush piano accompaniment reduced from the newly enlarged orchestral score. The only minor drawback is that, while the cover says "Piano - Vocal - Chords", I can't find any chords printed in my copy. Seeing as I'm playing it on a piano (and not a guitar), this isn't a problem for me. I would have liked to see the Final Scene in the book as well, but as it stands it's great the way it is. If your first exposure to "Sweeney Todd" was the movie, and you don't have any attachment to the original musical, this is the sheet music book to get.
