Not as Shown

My son was playing "Bouree" for NYSSMA at Level 3. He was using his teacher's copy of Suzuki Violin Vol. 3 and needed a second copy for the judges. We bought a copy from a local store, but a week before the test, my son realized the book we purchased was the new revised edition and that there were major changes in the piece. We tried local stores and searched on-line, but this was the only site we found that had the original. We had it shipped overnight only to find it was the revised edition ("Bouree" was on page 22, not 20 as listed on the site and the cover was not as shown). I called customer service and the gentleman was very willing to help, but after searching, he found the company does not carry the original version. [EDITOR'S NOTE: We have corrected the product information and images on our website so that they accurately reflect the revised edition. Thank you for helping us improve our site listings!]

A great book for violin students

After levels 1 and 2, students will find new challenges, including tricky rhythms and many flatted notes to play. Very suitable for intermediate students who practice diligently. Beautiful music with nice piano accompaniments! Some of my favorites: Gavotte/Martini, Humoresque/Dvorak, Bouree/Bach. Would highly recommend.

Excellent book

I hated the first two songs because they were really easy, and boring, but after those two the rest are really fun espically the last one Bourree. I started playing violin like 5 months ago and i've been fine with this book and it's not that hard.

fun

This book was fun but some of the techniques were diificult. Overall I have to say you should play about 2-3 years before buying it.
