little printing problems :(
So much music on this score :) But there are little printing problems on horn parts in IV. Yoda's theme and in V. Throne Room & End Title. Notes don't appear correctly.

A Wonderful score!
Although this score is quite expensive, it is definitely worth it. It is printed on large paper, ringbounded and easy to handle and read. I am a big Star Wars fan and I would certainly recommend this score to anyone who is serious about the music from this movie. You will fall in love with it the moment you hold it in your hands!

Expensive but possibly worth it.
Let me just note that you can get the entire score to Holst's "The Planets" (which provided much of Williams' inspiration for Star Wars and is masterful in it's own right) for a mere fraction of the price of this one. But this has advantages: 1) The spiral binding make it easy to turn pages and keep open and the paper is a fairly sturdy medium weight. 2)The cover is shiny and beautiful! 3) The printing is dark and straight 4) The copyists have done an excellent job making it crisp and clear and free of collisions and (so far) misprints. 5) It is large and easy to read. 6) The music is, of course, among the greatest ever composed.

A Really Amazing Suite For Orchestra
This is probably one of John William's best compositions for orchestra that's for sale to the public, and I highly recommend it for any musician that wants to learn how to compose songs for an orchestra. And it's good for any musician that wants something really interesting and fun to practice. This suite has sections in it that are very dramatic, especially in its first song called 'The Main Title'. Now keep in mind that 'The Main Title', which can be heard in all 6 of the Star Wars movies was composed differently in each of these movies, so 'The Main Title' in this suite's arrangement of it has the version of this song from the very 1st movie from 1977, which follows it note for note. Also, the value of this suite's sheet music may become worth a lot of money in the future as a collector's item, if you keep this sheet music in brand new condition, since Star Wars toy action figures became worth a lot of money, as collector's items, since they were 1st for sale in the late 1970's.

The best of the best
Some of the best music from the best film composer of all time! This is wonderful for anyone who can read music, but especially for someone who is studying to be a composer/orchestrator. Absolutely incredible.

Unsurpassed, but there are quibbles.
It is a great privilege to see this extraordinary score in its original unarranged state. Since the musical quality of the material is beyond question, I will critique things that could stand improvement. 1) Price and binding: $75 is a ton of money. For that price, a sturdy book would be appropriate instead of the cheap spiral binding. The printing quality is nonetheless excellent. 2) Woodwind parts: the pairs of oboes, clarinets and bassoons are given individual staves when it is not necessary. Their parts rarely diverge, so rather than cluttering the score, they should be paired. 3) Lack of key signatures: I realize this is a film score, but the music is essentially Wagnerian and exists within defined key areas for most of its length. Key signatures would really facilitate reading in the Main Title (Bb major,) Imperial March (g minor) and Throne Room Scene (f minor.) Those are my only complaints; it goes without saying that this music is marvelous.

OUTSTANDING!
John Williams, as if you hadn't already heard this a million times, is an ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!!! The orchestration is incredible; the wonderful woodwind flourishes; the pounding brass fanfares; the percussion fills; and the string vibratos are just...... too good to be explained! Since I bought the score I've gone over it HUNDREDS of times! I just can't get over how incredible it is! I've nearly memorized every note on every page! (not literally)..... If you don't have this, YOU MUST GET IT NOW!!!!!!!!

A Masterpiece
I am an intermediate conductor and a huge Star Wars fan. When I bought this I couldn't wait to try it with my chamber orchestra and I found conducting it a huge thrill. I really like the throne room and imperial march. I would seriously recommend this to avid musicians; Star Wars fans or not.

THE MAGIC OF STAR WARS
This suite of music from "Star Wars" is absolutely fantastic! Of course, since this is a concert edition, the music is not exactly the same, but it doesn't have to be identical to be just as effective. The variety in pieces represented really shows his diversity in writing orchestral music, but also enables the audience to relive all of the great moments from the film. Definitely worth purchasing if you love John Williams' music.

Differs slighly from the soundtrack...
...but I still love this score! As for some of the differences: Measure 17 of Leia's Theme is missing the Bassoon's triplets; the Throne Room skips measures 56-107 and then skips from measure 127 to measure 102 of the Main Theme; the Imperial March has an extra two measures, etc. But I'm just a nitpicker! The lay-out and formatting is exquisite, each note is clear and sharp. If you're a Williams fan, you'll spend countless happy hours pouring over this score!

Masterful craftmanship
I am not only a huge Star Wars fan but also an aspiring composer. If you're composing or wanting to learn how this is perfect. Seeing how some of the best film scoring is written out can give you not only knowledge but inspiration. If you're not a composer but a fan. I still recommend this. What better way to appreciate the these amazing musical selections that to see it in writing.

The Forest Battle", "The Force", "The Battle Of Yavine (Ep.IV)"

Wonderful
This score is absolutely wonderful! The music is fantastic, superbly orchestrated (it's the original thing) and also the graphical presentation is perfect. I think Hal Leonard should publish the entire scores of John Williams'! It would be fantastic... I am a student of composition and film music.

Just.... Awesome!
I am a young French Horn player and up-and-coming composer. Just sitting and playing this music, alone or with the CD's, has made me twice as good a horn player as i was and also just seeing the masterpiece while writing my music has influenced my ability to make music (though it doesn't even compare to this) in short having this score has made me a better musician and more appreciative of the music we all love.

The best film composer ever!
This score is absolutely wonderful, don't miss it! It's a great way to study and enjoy better that wonderful music! I would be very curious to know why Williams doesn't publish some film scores in their entirety (not only concert suites, but all the complete thing)!!

Williams does it all
Star Wars, no doubt was an awesome phenomenon in 70's. Its music as well. The grand of Williams score on Star Wars has made musicians are keen to learn more or started to think of making and doing such a great music WIlliams ever written. And the presence of this Signature Series has fulfilled their dream come true. My dream come true as well.
