Perfection for women's voices
Pergolesi was a genius and this is one of his finest works, scored here for either solos and duets (soprano and alto) or two-voice women's choir. Clear, well-displayed and easy to read - a treasured version of one of my favorite compositions of all time.

Pergolesi Stabat Mater
Completely awesome! Rather challenging, but good practice for several less common but important metrical patterns. Mostly solos and duets, but several chorus parts, and some of the duets can be sung as choruses. The Alto solos are almost Mezzo-soprano solos; E-flats common, 2 F's in Qae Moraebat (No. 4). Excellent, well-written piece.
I performed this in high school with an all-state choir, and it was a very challenging piece even for that level of ensemble. Let us say that many choirs/people can perform it, but not many can perform it well. The only criticism I have of this arrangement is that takes...

A work of genius
One cannot help thinking about the loss to the world of music this composer's early death represents! This is a beautifully nuanced work, which can be performed by a chorus or two voices (or any combination thereof). While the range is manageable, it's not as easy as it looks on...
