Good song selection
I really enjoy the song selection. I haven't had a chance to use it in church yet because I didn't realize I needed to purchase the piano part so thats on order along with the CD.

Sounds of Celebration
The whole package is great. I would like a "conducter's" book. But the books work great as a solo or a band. The pieces sound the best with the CD accompaniant but the CD plays quite fast.

This book goes right along with the CD "Sounds of Celebration". Is easily played along with the CD. Would recommend. I have already played on song in church and everyone loved it and wanted more!

We have a small mixed ensemble at our church. Sounds of Celebration is a perfect choice when we add instruments. We wish there were more!

I especially enjoy the two parts... one for intermediate learners, and one for more advanced. That gives me a challenge, too, while at the same time my daughters can play with me on the easier pages. It goes along so well with the CD - I'm really glad I found it.

Pretty Good Collection
Works fairly well as a solo with track or with a small ensemble. A bit simple and predictable, but does allow for some improvisation. Performed on piece with our church band - was fairly well excepted.

Great music, easy to modify to fit skill levels and for groups. Good arrangements.

Excellent for church ensembles
I've played in a church orchestra for the past four years and truly enjoy the orchestration of Stan Pethel's books. We've played out of several Sounds of Celebration books as well as Sounds of Christmas for offeratory specials and have found them superior. They're just challenging enough for a mixed orchestra of high school students and older performers who don't practice that often.
