One of my favorite editions.
This is one of the best Bach's I've used. The bowings in general have worked excellently. Some of the nonstop movements, such as the Allegro Assai from Sonata No. 3, were much easier with these bowings.

Bach
This isn't the best version of the Sonatas and Partitas I've ever seen because it has a lot of fingering editing that isn't cohesive with the original Bach scores. If you want to see how Bach really wanted it, I would recommend the original scores, which I believe are avilable on this site.

A must have
Amazing book to have. I was given this by my violin teacher. Every violin teacher teaches the Bach violin solos -- it's a violin standard in a way. Some of the movements might look easy, but they are not.

Tricky
You have to know your scales! but it is great practice and you quickly improve. once you can master a song, it sounds great, Bach knew his violin music

Bach at his very best
This book contains it all! This will challenge even the most advanced players, and contains one of the most stunning examples of counter-point EVER.(Ciacconna) There are plenty of works for the intermediate player as well. I do not reccomend this to beginners. Every work I've checked seems to have perfect notation. A great buy.

Bach - you either hate his work or love it
This should be basic food for violinists - you are either going to master the techniques or you will quit violin - I have enjoyed the challenge.

This music is truly beautiful! Although I personally can't play it to it's credit, I love to listen to it and to try my best.

This is Your Backbone
For all students the Bach Partitas and Sonatas are a MUST. These works can be used for auditions for anything; Scholarship Auditions, Admission Auditions (Colleges and Orchestras). Many schools will require Bach in their auditions by memorization anyways. Bach is worldly accepted and it is also good for building a powerful virtuoso.

WRITTEN TO PERFECTION!!!!!!!
These Sonatas and Partitas are wonderful showy concert pieces to perform. There are some very tricky ones in this book, but if you practise them slowly you will eventually master them off by heart!!!! Well done J.S Bach!!! Double Presto would have to be my favourite in this book. I recommend this for the experienced violinist. [...]
