Henle has done a splendid job with the Debussy Sonate. The violin part is easy to read and logically laid out. In fact there are three violin parts: in the piano part is the violin part as it appeared in the manuscript, the main violin part has fingerings and bowings...

great sonata

learning the notes is easy in this sonata, but the difficulty lies in its essential necessity: tone color. this sonata requires a mastery of tone colors so unless you have enough colors on your pallete, don't attempt to learn this piece.
