Excellant new edition
Alfred's new individual Beethoven Sonatas edited by Stewart Gordon are a welcome addition. I particularly liked finding the interesting editorial comments and performance suggestions as footnotes instead of in a preface; they clarified and instructed and were never pompous. While I questioned some of the fingering (as usual), editorial marks...
