Wow, innovative!

I've only got to play the 1st movement extensively, but as you study it, the amazing Hindemith quartal & semi-octotonic sonorties are well done. He does a great manipulation of the sonata-allegro form, keeping it fresh even into the 20th. Beginning of the 3rd movement is also beautiful.
