Halsey Stevens was born in 1908. In addition to his career as a composer, he was a scholar and musicologist. He is the author of the definitive book, 'The Life and Music of Bela Bartok', and also contributed articles to numerous scholarly journals. Halsey Stevens died in 1989.

Great for mixed-meter studies.
