Master this and you can play anything!
I picked this score because I didn't have to use a magnifying glass to read the notes. The Liszt sonata is one of the greatest masterpieces of the 19th Century. If you can play this piece well 80% as fast as a virtuoso you will still impress. In sports this would be like swimming 100 m in less than 55 seconds!

A Work of Genius
Liszt's famous Sonata is one of the most rewarding and complex pieces in all of classical music ... stunning, dramatic, and heartwrenching, this is truly a masterpiece. I began working on it a few months ago after purchasing it (at a great price) and am almost through learning it. It's incredible how the numerous themes and motifs are interwoven throughout all three fantastic movements to create an extraordinary musical tapestry ... a towering testament to the genius of Liszt.

A Liszt Treasure
Virtuoso piano playing at its best. Any serious pianist should own and treasure this eminently readable score. The informative preface and end comments will appeal to all musicians who appreciate historical insights into the creation and performance of a truly unique piano composition. Recordings of the sonata are numerous, but those of Van Cliburn, Artur Rubinstein and Sviatislov Richter may serve as inspiration to pianists who attempt to interpret this difficult yet wholly satisfying musical delight. SheetMusicPlus is to be congratulated for providing us musicians with an affordable copy of Liszt's piano masterpiece.
