wish I had this 40 years ago!!

Beautiful job with the transcription.! Really captures all the chord melodies that was the genius of Jimmi. I wish this was around when i had to try to get this off of the vinyl. A must have for any Hendrix lover. KP

Great book

First, the CD which came with the book I ordered was defective and I didn't notice it [immediately]. I called Sheet Music Plus and with no questions asked, they sent me a replacement. Awesome service!! This is a great book, at least for me, to learn how to play some of Hendrix' songs. The CD is of great help, and the music/tab are very clear. I find all of Sheet Music Plus's products to be great.

Takes you to the next level

This book not only helps you make a guitar talk like hendrix, but it also helps you gain more experience. So i would advise that even if your a bit of a newbie to tabs etc this will be a huge help. And the CD is quality, and realy helpfull...

Andy Aledort is the man!

This is an outstanding training aide. Andy uses original guitars, amps, and effects. He used modern recording technology and it sounds like Jimi came back from guitar heaven and played. I even enjoy just listening to Andy's cuts because of their high quality. I can't wait for the Hendrix Signature Licks 2 from Andy A. If you appreciate Jimi H. and want to emulate his style you need this book/CD. It rocks and teaches!

Great selection, accurate transcriptions

If you really want to play like Jimi, this is the book for you! Very accurate transcriptions and CD is a great help for timing. A few easy songs, but the ones you want to learn are going to take some PRACTICE. My only complaint is it isn't longer. Part 2 would be nice.

Hard but rewarding

Recently purchased this book and all I have to say is WOW! Very well transcribes, however the slow down of solos and such doesnt help much. Many of the songs are extremely hard but with a crap load of practice you will be able to sound like Jimi. This book is as good as you can possibly get.

Excellent Guide

This book contains all of the Hendrix pieces that I wanted to learn and they're broken up into nice sections to make it easier (sort of) to absorb. This stuff is hard to begin with anyway, but it's nice that the CD contains both regular speed and slow versions of some of the parts to make it easier to follow, especially the guitar solo for "The Wind Cries Mary".

Get Experienced

Great book with a great mix of Hendrix tunes. Hendrix was a genius and probably THE best guitar player ever (who's the best could be debated forever)but I was surprised and how simple some of his more complex sounding songs were. The slowed down versions help tremendously in learning some of the sections. And while it will take me years (forever?) to pull off some of those solos, I was amazed at how quickly I could learn some of the easier songs (Manic Depression, Fire). One thing that could have been added that was in other Signature licks books was info on how to play certain off the wall fingerings that Hendrix uses. You see the tab notation and wonder "how'd he do that?" and there'd be an explanation of how the chord might be formed. Overall, I'm in a Purple Haze over this book!

Tough Playing, Good Book

Hendrix really was a great player. His rhythm guitar work is really amazing, and his solo's are pretty intense as well. This book had all the Jimi songs I wanted to learn, which is why I bought it instead of the "In Deep" with Hendrix. The book has all the guitar parts broken down, along with helpful hints and descriptions. The accompanying CD has the songs played with a band, and the solos with a slow and normal version. Learn from the master with this one.
