Excellent work for a neglected chamber ensemble

This is an imaginative and well crafted work that is also full of beautiful melodic writing. I would absolutely recommend it. If your WW quintet doesn't have a pianist, this piece will make it worth going out and finding one!

Splendid Piece Underappreciated Composer

This magnificent sextet for piano and winds was written after a great deal of travail by Ludwig Thuille, a teacher, devotee of Schumann and Brahms, and friend of Richard Strauss. It is a gem! Exquisitely scored, showing all the instruments off wonderfully. And the music is wonderful, inventive, and individual....
