piano accompaniment to Sevcik 40 Variations
Violin teachers who also play piano, don't miss this piano accompaniment to Sevcik's wonderful and useful 40 Variations. I love to teach the 40 Vars. because they cover every aspect of bow technique without being long boring etudes. They are even more fun and musical with the piano part, apparently written separately by a pianist at a later date. The piano helps solidify rhythm and also provides some challenges with afterbeats and counter rhythms, and provides harmonic surprises.
