The Importance of Editions

I would never perform a piece learned from Schirmer edition. I enter a lot of competitions and lerning from Schirmer would be a joke. This edition has no interest in staying true to the composer's wishes. That aside, these pieces are wonderful but I should point out that the name...

Lovely music

I haven't got this edition but the pieces are great. It is easy to hit the notes with most of the songs but that's not the point: any fool could do that. These pieces are all about how you play them. They are not children's pieces but pieces about children....

Worth the money for nice music

Most of the songs are easy to learn, but I would have recommended more use of fingering marks. The majority of the book lacks that. Great to add to your repertoire!
