Good Resource.

With a good teacher this is a great book! Learn pentatonic, modal, and exotic box patterns, and solo over given chord progressions. Knowledge of key signatures and note reading required.

I have used this book for a long time and it clearly explains all scale types and their functions this book helped me to learn the things that I needed to learn without the endless repititon of the same pattern as the guy in the previous review said:it's a worthwhile...

skips the endless waste of ink and dead trees that comprise the bulk of most books on scales/modes, with repetitive scalar patterns repeated ad nauseum (you only need to learn in one position!)...introduces cool synthetic scales and exotic modes that will greatly aid in breaking up the monotony of ionian/aeolian...
