Part of British Folksongs Series, Rule, Britannia is scored for soprano recorder/crumhorn/flute/viol/violin 1/oboe, alto 1 recorder/crumhorn/flute/viol/violin 2/oboe, alto 2 recorder/crumhorn/tenor recorder/flute/viol/violin 3/oboe, tenor recorder/crumhorn/flute/viol/violin 4/viola/oboe and bass recorder/crumhorn/viol/cello/bassoon, and is 'A grand ode in honour of Great Britian' from 'Alfred, a Masque.' It was performed origionally for the Crowned Prince of Wales in 1740. Score and parts. Keyboard part included, with (2) vocal lines (characters Alfred and Eltruda.).
