This edition is not bad, but it's nothing special. To me, this edition wasn't helpful by having very little fingerings. But it does have bar numbers for rehearsals. I did like the short descriptions of each of the dances, which helps to visualize the character of each dance. But I'm...

Good violin music from a good publisher
Besides my endorsement to the other reviewers who liked this music, I'll also give credits to the publisher which includes some information on what the Roumanian dances are.

Good job SMP
I am a violinist, music performance arts major in college (freshman). This is a great arrangement. Good for developing a more robust tone after playing only classical for too long. Good variety-- second mvmnt is all fingered harmonics, third is intense high-position work, and other mvmnts include much more.

Fun and delightful
This score consists of 6 danses which will provide plaisure to you while learning them (which is the most important i think) and to your public. In order not to make the public flee with those danses, you absolutely need to adopt a gipsy musicality, which is not obvious actually:...
