Composed in 1934, this series of variations on one of Paganini's themes was an instant hit. The 18th variation is a universally known melody to this day, being heard on film and television soundtracks, in recordings, and in concert halls everywhere. A man Conductor: Nayden Todorov. Soloist: Alexander Raytchev, piano. Ensemble: Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra. Includes an expansive, newly engraved 96-page music book with solo part and orchestral reduction, printed on high-quality ivory paper; and two compact discs containing the complete performance of the concerto in digital stereo; a digital stereo version of the music.

My son was pleased with this as a gift. He did think the music was divided in illogical phrases for practicing, but loaded the CD on his computer and rearranged it to his satisfaction.

Play with the pros!
