Composed in 1934, this series of variations on one of Paganini's themes was an instant hit. Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini
My son was pleased with this as a gift. He did think the music was divided in illogical phrases for practicing, but loaded the CD on his computer and rearranged it to his satisfaction.
