love it!

This book has the most memorable songs from the movie. The arrangements do not seem to be simplified from the soundtrack and are just as moving. While there are parts that get tricky, overall, I find that the music makes a certain amount of sense (like many Mozart pieces) and your fingers just kind of know where to go. Wonderful music to play and hear!

beautiful piece

this piece reminds me of some of the beautiful works of Ludovico Einaudi - being only 16 and to understand the beauty of piano solo pieces is rare by todays standards, but i go against the grain in admitting this is one of the most beautiful pieces i've ever heard, i will enjoy playing it, for no doubt the countless hours i will sit at it

Good challenge and enjoyable playing

This was a step above my skill level when I bought it, but by learning the pieces I definitely improved as a pianist! The pieces are beautiful and very close to the songs on the soundtrack. If you listened to the soundtrack and want to be able to play what you heard on there, this is the songbook to buy. Also great selection for recital pieces/"impressing people" pieces.

Going to buy it!!!

I read all the reviews for both 'Revisiting The Piano' and 'The Piano'. By the sounds of it, if you are a beginner, 'The piano' is the way to go, but if you're an experienced pianist, 'Revisiting The Piano' is the way to go. I'm definatley going to buy 'The Piano Revisited'!

The Piano

The music was exactly the correct difficulty for my son who loves playing it. He found it challenging but fun to play

Great--just like movie

This was nice because it sounded exactly like in the movie. It didn't seem to be simplified. It does take some time to get used to the opposite direction the fingers of each hand travel, but with practice, you become accustomed to it.

amazing

The first time I heard Nyman's music I thought it was the most beautiful I'd ever heard. I was ecstatic when I found the sheet music and haven't put it down yet. "Heart Asks Pleasure First" is definitely the best.

Finally!

How wonderful to finally have ALL of the music from Ms. Campion's ravishing film! Finally my two favorite themes, "Here to There" and "All Imperfect Things" are included. Also, the nice page formatting for "The Heart Asks Pleasure First" makes for an easier read. Recommended for anyone that loves Nyman's music and would like the complete score to "The Piano".

Brilliant

It's just one of these rare piano books when all the song's reach out and make you learn them.Emotional stuff.A big achievement on Nymans part.
