good soid edtion

this edition is clear and well laid out. It has bar numbers so it can be used with a number of orchestral scores. itis also well priced. It is streets ahead of the Schirmer that my choir had us order with the missing bar lines and the English translation (why?)...

The Real Thing

This piece of music is The Real Thing. It has been called Verdi's greatest opera, and that may well be true. From begining to end, it's simply magnificent. MAGNIFICENT. ACE. T-H-E BEST!

Verdi, the singer's composer

This opera in the form of a requiem contains so many wonderful demands on each soloist as well as all sections of the chorus(es). What a delight to sing and hear. Audiences recognize the compositional excellence in what they hear, and they "feel" the drama that Verdi invested into this...

Dynamics are in German

I like this score except for the fact that the dynamic markings have been translated into German from the original Italian,where the Italian is 'il piu p possible,' the score says 'so leise wie moeglich'and where the Italian is 'con voce cupa e tristissima,' the German is 'Aausserst leise mit...
