Great Selections
I enjoy the variety of songs. Some I don't know but are interested in learning. I sing at a piano bar. I buy a lot of books and this one has sooooo many I could use. It has a good share of upbeat songs also.

An excellent resource but...
An excellent resource but being very old school there are songs that could be added like here i go again by smokey robinson and the miracles. Songs by the stylistics and o jays, delphonics. Overall a great fake book.

Disappointing
Bare-bones melody and chord symbols. No help with any bass, piano, or rhythm figures to indicate the feel. Leaves out crucial sections on some songs. This book seems like a lazy effort even for a fake book.

Great
This is a great collection of R&B songs. And the best part is, it is for EVERYONE. You make the songs as hard as you want because it's a fake book. So not only does it suffice for my playing ability (Advanced), it also does for ANYONE that every comes and plays my piano. Nice job!

ONLY A REFERENCE
THE R&B FAKE WAS QUITE A DISAPPOINTMENT IN THAT THE SELECTION OF TITLES WAS LACKING IN MANY OF THE GREAT BALLARDS AND FOCUSED TO MUCH ATTENTION ON A FEW ARTISTS THAT OBVIOUSLY INTERESTED THE EDITOR.

Great Buy
This fake book had everything I was looking for and more. I have a Technics KN6000 keyboard and have some Mowtown discs that were very compatable with the music in this book. I feel I got a great buy.

Great Rhythm and and Blues Selections
I perform with a small jazz and R&B combo. We find the charts in the R&B Fake Book great for developing some of the tunes we use for club gigs. Wide variety of selections in the book give us lots of opportunities to showcase different R&B styles. Great investment for the band!
