Not a challenge like i was expecting
This is like megadeth for easy guitar. It never has any of the hard or difficult to play passages. It only has easier to play solos and outros/interludes. Its ridicoulous that a book showcasing marty friedman has none of his difficult solos or shredding. Plus the cd isnt that helpful or clear and sometimes it sounds like he is not playing exactly what is written in the book which just adds insult to injury. Save your money and dont buy this unless you're a beginner in which case it would be a good introduction to soloing since as i said all it has is the easy solos. Oh and i forgot to mention but also sometimes the riffs arent played up to the same speed as there on the actual cds so you have to go back and listen to the cd if you want to even play it at accurate tempo.

A Great Book For Any Player
If you like Megadeth and play guitar, you'll LOVE this book! This book takes you through all of their greats from old to new. Recommended for anyone who absolutey idolizes Marty Freidman with his made-up keys and scales, and for anyone who loves the grinding punchy style of rhythm a la Dave Mustaine. With parts ranging from easy to master, this is a must for guitar players looking for killer two-guitar part songs. Bottom line: this one will stay with you for a WHILE. I LOVE IT!!! -Richard Johnson
