We bought this to use for Maundy Thursday special music--we ended up doing both the Lenten Prelude and the Communion Prelude for that service, and a few people shared that they found the music lovely and appropriate to the occasion. We also used the Easter Prelude with violin on Easter. Neither the organ parts nor the flute parts are too hard--the flute parts for those two pieces don't have any eighth or sixteenth notes, but they call for a wider range of notes than beginners would have. Contrary to the existing review of this music, there IS a separate flute part. Recommended for your last-minute special music needs!

I bought this because we wanted flute special music for Maundy Thursday, and we've since used the flute part for a violin on Easter, too. We did the Lenten Prelude and the Communion Prelude for Maundy Thursday and they were lovely. Both the flute and the organ parts aren't too hard, although the flute parts call for a greater range of notes than a beginner would have. There weren't any eighth or sixteenth notes in the two pieces I played, though. Contrary to the other review on this page, there IS a separate flute part included.
