Essential Vocal Method
I have used Vaccai for many years and find it to be indispensable in the early training of singers but also as a useful practice method throughout a singing career. Each exercise centers itself on one aspect of difficulty and the set is invaluable for teaching singing in Italian, basic music styles and singing technique. This edition has a most useful pronunciation guide at the beginning and is affordably priced. In the low key it is very useful for the young singer (male or female) who is still limited in the upper range. There are a few misprints in the Italian which I personally correct (referring to the Ricordi original edition). But otherwise I heartily and wholy recommend this excellent book to all teachers of singing.
