Poco Loco: 1st B-flat Trumpet by Carl Strommen. For Jazz Ensemble. Instructional. Part. 2 pages. Published by Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music (AX.00-PC-0015242_T1).

Composer/arranger Carl Strommen has proven he has the right stuff to write for younger bands. This light and easy Latin original starts simply and builds. As it builds, you may recognize the chord progression to the classic pop tune, "Sunny." The cowbell helps maintain the energy and drive for this chart, the solos for alto sax and trumpet are written or ad-lib, and the brass ranges are modest. Additional percussion parts can be added if desired. The lower instruments have an easy yet meaty part in this chart. The bottom line is a quality chart that's fun to play, educational and well received by the audience. This title is available through SmartMusic. (3:50).

Not how i remember

I played this song back when i was in Jazz Band in Jr. High. All of it seems accurate but my only disappointment was that the one i played back in school had the Trumpet Solo in the music sheet and this one doesn't. Still sounds good though.
