Not the best for learning.......

Perfect for the fans and the advanced guitar player (I have all 3 vids, lol) who might pick up a few things, but overall Yngwie is seriously the worst guitar teacher, period. It is cool to watch him play, and will probebly leave you in awe, but all he cares about is showing off, and he almost seems to get annoyed with having to play things over and over and slower.. But if you REALLY wanna learn this style from a video I highly suggest picking up Rusty Cooley's videos, http://www.licksfromhell.com or www.rustycooley.com check out the Shred Guitar Manifesto, its insaine..he blows Yngwie away.

Inspiring!

I was surprised at how soft spoken and professional Yngwie's demeanor was.....He is not very articulate in his explanations at times, but he really did downplay his techniques as quite "possible" for anyone willing to practice. I liked his attitude!

As easy as apple pie!

While Malmsteen's technique may seem intimidating to some, I would like to remind the viewer that, let's face it, can he really be Swedish if he's not blonde?

Not a good one to spend money on!

Yngwie is much more worried about showing off in this series than actually teaching. The examples in slow motion are too fast for the intermediate or even advanced. This was the first video I have seen of his and you can bet it will be the last one I buy. I have the Eric Johnson and John Petrucci videos and much more can be learned from either of those then of Yngwie's. In my opinion, it just sucks!!
