Fun to Play

Music is fun to play, but a little too easy for an intermediate player.

It had its good parts

I was actually kind of disappointed, since half/more than half of the music was not in the same key as the original soundtrack, and the original soundtrack is more fun to play along with compared to the CD provided with the music book. There were some really good songs, though, like Jack Sparrow, which were partly a challenge and I even had to put some effort into it because of the fast tempo. The tunes are fun and recognizable and I don't regret buying this. My favorite, He's A Pirate, was not in the same key, which made me quite sad. It is simple to transpose, though, if you know the tune well enough. This is a good book for people that are past beginner and want something a bit more intermediate, maybe. I started playing the French horn about four years ago, so that might be why I was looking for more of a challenge, so that's just me.

Fun music from fun movies

This book has all of the music from the first two Pirates of the Caribbean films: The Curse of the Black Pearl and Dead Man's Chest. Fun to play for intermediate instrumentalists!
