A Mixed Blessing
On the plus side, there's a lot of songs you won't find in any other songbook, as Pink Floyd's pre-Dark Side output is sadly neglected. But "More" gets shafted; only 'Cirrus Minor' and 'The Nile Song' make the cut. It's cool that some of the little fills are shown, like the flute part of 'Julia Dream' and the finger-picking pattern of 'Pillow of Dreams,' but most of the songs are of the horrid right-hand-follows-the-vocal-line style. It also ignores important parts; the solo section of 'See Emily Play' is neglected, and a chunk of 'Pillow of Winds' is missing. The chords are accurate, save a typo or two, but some of the lyrics aren't. And with all the note-for-note, band-member approved tablature and keyboard/piano books for "Dark Side of the Moon," was it necessary to include 'Time,' "Money,' and 'Eclipse?' I give it a high rating because it's a lot of sheet music you won't find elsewhere...but it's really more like 3 1/2 stars than 4. Decent, but it could've been better.
