Good to learn to play legato
I think the organ works by Mendelssohn is fantastic. Especially good to learn if you're not that good in legato play. The sonatas and preludes&fugues is good training in legato before you play more difficult organ works. I mean Mendelssohn is obligatoric if you want to be a good organ player!

EXCELLENT. However, you MUST be accomplished to execute well (unless you haver a year to practice...)
