My thoughts...
I love Evanescense and this is a decent rendition of a fabulous song. If you want to sing while you play, I would highly recommend this piece. There is one area in which it is a little difficult to sing while playing because of the rhythm, but it just takes a little practice. As far as the piano accompinament itself, it sound a lot like the song except in the bridge -- it sounds nearly nothing like it in that particular area, but I think this may have been because it would have been difficult to sing with if you were playing the piano at the same time. For piano solo, I would not recommend this version. It's very beautiful if you have someone singing, but otherwise it's too simple and tends to get repetitive and doesn't actually sound like the piano in some areas. Thats my opinion. It's an easy song to play, I don't advise it for piano solo, but it's beautiful as an accompinament.

Pretty Good
But if you were looking for a set of sheet music that included the harmony in the backround of the song and not just during the breakdown, this piece of music is not what you are looking for.

I love this song. I am a singer, and the accompanyment is beautiful! I think that the song is relatively easy, but i couldn't imagine playing it! The piano accompanyment looks hard!

I can't believe it...
I can't believe how easy this was! I thought I was going to get a good sheet of music when I bought it, but it was way to easy and boring. I am 14 and in grade 9 piano. Why can't I find a harder version of this song? -Janine Jay

good title
accurate music as you expect the sheet to sounds.... nice to play, and easy to learn, after searching this on other sites, this is both the most accurate compared to the music and the most enjoyable. I rate this as en experienced piano player, and have a wide range in musical tastes- i have played the piano for 5 years.

exactly what you hear
this is pretty much the exact music that you hear being played in the song so you need a singer for the melody line. i think it's great though!

So wonderful it's scary!
This song is really great, it get's hard in some parts if you're trying to sing while playing it, but over all it was pretty easy! One thing I think everybody should know is that the last page doesn't say to go up an octave, but when you listen to the cd, it goes up an octave in both hands. Great song though!

Sounds like the cd
In addition to being a beautiful song to play and sing, the composition is quite similar to the one on the cd version. You could even play it along with the cd because it is written in the same key. Like a lot of people, I like that the accompaniment is completely different from the vocals. It feels repetitive to play only because the vocals are supposed to carry the tune. Timing and finding smooth transitions between fingers were somewhat difficult to learn at first. Once those are figured out, the song sounds a lot like Amy Lee intended!

Amazing!
This piece of music is exactly like the real version. I've seen evanescences live concert with Amy Lee singing and playing. Her hands are in the exact same postiotion oif this piece. I love how the melody is not included in the accompanyment. This is exacly the real version of the song. It is amazing, and exacly what Amy Lee plays.

Soft and calming...
This is an excellent peice if you just want to get away, and enjoy your own world. And better yet, the melody of the voice isn't included in the accompaniment. I find that just destroys the peice. I have been playing piano for five years now, and this is my favorite song out of all the ones I have been given. If you like useing alot of pedal, this one is defintely capable of it. I say, the more pedal on this peice, the better it sounds!

Beautiful and Entrancing
I'm fifteen and I've played the piano from a young age. Before I even became interested in buying mainstream sheet music, I fell in love with this song from the recording, and I enjoyed hearing Amy Lee slow things down for once. I always loved the simple yet captivating accompaniment, and it's like you can close your eyes while playing it and you're in a very special, very beautiful place that speaks of love, beauty, and a little bit of love lost.

Still waiting....
This is a beautiful piece and it sounds great on piano, but i am still waiting for a piano solo version in the key of A with no line for vocals. If you play it without the vocal line it starts to get repetitive and boring. I love Evanescence though. There is one written in the key of C but it is simplified and it just dosent sound the same...

mixed feelings
i really like this song, and i definitely like the fact that the melody is not in the piano part. the vocal line is completely independent, which is very cool. however, i did find the piano part to be a bit repetitive, boring and simplistic.

Good Song...
I ordered this song on the strength of another person playing it at a school concert. It's pretty easy in my opinion. It's good that it doesn't have the melody in the piano accompanient-that just kills songs. If you want the music for My Immortal-definitely buy this edition!

i love this song...it's my favourite song of all time! i am a beginner who just learnt piano three months ago, and I've already perfected the whole song! it's really beautiful and does the original song justice. however, I would like it if the right hand had the melody of the song, not just the piano accompaniment.

Pretty good, but...
I'm fourteen and have been playing the piano for seven years. My Immortal is a really pretty song, and it's fun playing the melody at the beginning, but the rest of the song is just chords. I'd rather have the actual music that Amy plays, but I suppose this is good enough. The song is at about an intermediate level, so it's not too hard either.

Not for Solo Piano
The music wasn't what I expected, the piano alone can not make this song complete it can only play on the chords, you really need a vocalist for accompaniment.

Excellent!
This song is perfect. I'm glad it doesn't include the melody in the right hand, because somehow that just ruins the entire piano accompianement. I like to remove the melody from the right hand whenever I get sheet music and sing it myself or with someone else. Original editions are my absolute favorite, they sound the way they are supposed to sound, the same way as the CD, minus vocals.

I've been playing for nine years, and two years ago I got this song and it took a while to learn but it really isn't very hard. It is haunting and stunning, and I never get tired of it. I played it at my 8th grade graduation, and at my best friend's funeral. People loved it. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially since it isn't too challenging and it is so beautiful....

This arrangement is very good. The only thing is that I wish they had a version with the violin part included. Also the end of the song is originally played an octave higher that is written, but that's not that big of a deal.

I'm torn
I love this song and I am happy that this sheet music shows both the vocals and the piano accompaniment. However, if you hate the sound of your own voice and don't have someone to sing with you while playing, you will really lose 70% of the song because you can't hear the melody line. And in my opinion, the melody line is the only reason to buy the song.

Beautiful!!!!
This song wasn't too hard to learn and it sounds beautiful-almost exactly like the arrangment on the C.D.It's in the same key and its so similar that you can play it right along with the recording. It sounds really good if you sing the melody along with it. The part right after the words, "I've been alone all along..." is the prettiest part of all! I really think that you should buy it. It's so wonderful to play and it does get you a lot of attention from your friends.

Ill wait for a real solo arrangement
Anytime I buy standard sheet music issues of pop tunes I'm always dissapointed. I have the book to the whole album, the hard rock pieces are a foolish waste of time to learn unless you're in a band and different members can utilize the parts written. If this song is "immortal" enough, Dan Coates or someone will arrange it as a true piano solo. Lets only hope!

Wonderful Song
I've been playing the piano for 15 years and most "pop" songs that I've played don't entirely match the actually version that the artist sings from. This arrangment of "My Immortal" was excellent and written beautifully. Not all songs include the melody in the accompaniment, and I enjoy that. Many songs are arranged with the melody in the piece but I personally believe that can destroy the song.

A good arrangement-for once
Unlike most arrangements of pop songs that I see this one does not write the vocal melody line into the accompaniment. It follows the piano part on the cd almost exactly. I often find myself rewriting arrangements of pop songs that I buy off the shelf but this one didn't need any tweaking.

Love the Arrangment!
This is a very piano-based song so I was thrilled to find out out that it was in accompaniment form. Too many times, you just get that horrible standard piano/vocal/guitar version that put you to sleep, but this is not the case. This is great for accompanying yourself and it's not that hard either. The piano instrumental after the bridge might take a little work, but that's all. :)

Great sheet music
I don't really like Evanescence at all, but I enjoy the piano in this song. This sheet music is written exactly how it is performed. It's fairly simple, except some measures need more work than others. 4/4 time and C,G,F sharps. Super easy and sounds great! I recommend it.

my immortal by evanescence
I absolutely love this song. I think it is a beautiful peice. Evanescence has a way with expressing how other people feel in their songs in a form of art. This song has a beautiful melody and haunting lyrics. Its absolutely grand. In fact it is me and my friend's "song". This piece would be a wonderful addition to any pianist's library of music.

Disappointing
This arrangement has piano accompaniment only. The melody is not included in the right hand. Therefore, you don't hear the entire piece unless you sing while you play or you have 3 hands.

This song is beautiful
Evanescence blends a powerful style of rap-rock and gentle ballads on their CD, "Fallen." The song "My Immortal" has a bittersweet, if not, sad, but beutiful quality to it. Though not hard in difficulty, it would be a nice song to add to your collection. A song like no other.
