This is one of Palestrina's best loved and most performed Masses. It belongs in the repertoire of any serious polyphonic choir.Fine moments include the soaring octave leaps by sopranos and tenors in the Sanctus and the exquisitely beautiful second Agnus Dei, some of the most beautiful writing in the whole polyphonic reperoire.
