This copy replaces my old Novello Messiah, which seems to have gotten lost. The Novello is my favorite edition. It provides an appendix containing variations, transpositions, etc., of some of the arias which were also written by Handel because, like many professional conductors, he hired pick-up musicians and often never...

Almost there
I was quite overwhelmed by the size of this piece of music when I received it. With some 200 plus pages be prepared for a little work. Not neccessarily difficult to learn but will need a liitle attention to detail; a brilliant piece of work to be proud of, highy...

A Sight for Sore Eyes
This relatively new re-setting of the classic Watkins Shaw edition of Messiah is larger (7.5 x 11 inches)and cleaner than its predecessor, and is printed on a brighter paper stock. All of these features will be especially appreciated by the eyes of choristers who have passed, say 40 or 45!...
