This is an easy version of the original

Give me a break. Either publish it in the original form or not at all.

Many Marks and Hal Leonard copies are incorrect

I happened to have learned and then played this piece as part of my audition at an Ivy League Conservatory of Music in the Northeast some years ago. It was the original Malaguena. When Hal Leonard or Marks by Hal leonard started to do a new printing, they screwed up and put an entire set of bars in the wrong clef (G) and several octaves away from the original. This is not the only piece of music which I have found Hal Leonard to print the wrong thing or omit things. I wish Lecuona were alive so he could lambast them into doing it right or not at all.

A Very Beautiful Latin Classic!

I am happy to have selected the "Simplified Piano" version instead of the original. Still have to practice and practice to get the melody right, then practice to get the timing right and the emphasis in the right places. Was worth it as it is truly a beautiful classic composition.A very impressive performance piece too.

Not "simplified" enough for me

Though Malaguena is one of the most beautiful and powerful piano solos I've ever heard, this self-proclaimed simplified version is still very difficult. I played for many years, then stopped for about 50. My skills are very rusty, too rusty for this version.
