Yeah yeah
Beatles music is really good music and hgaving the opportunity to play Beatles music on the cello with a fine backing track is exelent thoug it would have much better had the tunes been moor cello and in the right key

The Good, Bad and Ugly
Some nice band and orchestra backing but why they go to all this work and then have a bright piano clanking the melody out for you is perplexing. They put it on one side but so is half the backing so even if modern audio gear had balance controls anymore you'd lose the nice backing track if you cut that side out. If you don't mind that distraction, someone went to a lot of work to make these nice tracks.

just a sing melody line for the cello
I did not like the book very much. It gives you the melodylines to play as they were sung. No beautiful cello arrangements as in the original beatles songs. That was what I hoped for. On the other hand, if you want to play the melody lines it is a helpfull book

Accompaniment disappointing
Found most of the music too simple and without much more than the basic melody. Accompaniment CD was also shallow in terms of instrumentation.

Adding some interest for a beginner
This book was great for my second-year cello student son who wanted something different than the regular classical music.

fabulous fun book
This is a fabulous fun book for a cellist who wants to play something other than classical music all the time. A few odd choices of Beatles music in the book, but fun to play. My son loves it.

super for beatles lovers, both students and parent
We liked this title very much, as my daughter loves playing popular tunes in addition to her classic sheet music for cello. Perfect for learining to play with an orchestra, and your parents can sing along while you practice. We had a nice time, teacher and student playing duet while mama was singing!!!

Fun Book
Some fun tunes to play by yourself or to play along with the CD as accompaniment to you. Missing some of my favorite Beatles' songs but good none the less.

Great for students
This is a great set of famous songs for students. The rhythm is set simply, but you can add some swing to it. They are easy to play and have some great places for intermediate shifting. I wish it had a bigger selection, though

In response to WAY TO EASY
Even if it's easy, it's the Beatles! Great songs sound great whether or not they're easy!

The Best
It is just fun to play. Not too hard for elementary but more of a challenge. for some one more advanced it is just fun to play!

I'm a beatles fan
It's hard to find Beatle stuff for the cello, I enjoyed it but it doesn't make for very good solo work, you need a piano acompanyment on most of them.

WAY TO EASY
It was too easy and I thought that it was a waste of money. You shouldn't get it if you were an outstanding cellist when a beginner (like me). I started playing the cello in August of 2003 and it is now June of 2004. I picked up playing the cello very fast and don't know where I got my talent because the 4 other people in my family (mom, dad, brother, and sister) play (ed) in the band. I thought that I could have gotten something a lot harder. If you like to be challenged, this isn't the book for you. It didn't give me much of a challenge and I didn't feel like I could really bring myself to a higher level in playing the cello.

The Beatles: Lennon And McCartney Solos
If you thought the concerts were good wait until you play them your self! There are many wonderful songs like Can't buy me love or Yesturday from your favorite, Lennon and McCartney.Trust me you'll like it!
