Best of the three editions I have....
I wanted to play Sonata #14 (Moonlight) and got the edition by Arthur Schnabel that turned out to be surprisingly awful. Fingering was silly, excess other markings, inconvenient page breaks. My piano teacher got me an edition by Alexander Goldenweiser (printed in Russia) that was better, but printed too small...

Can't go wrong...
...with the Henle Vertag books! It amazes me how these scores compare to others I've seen/played that were printed by Schirmers. Schirmer has a lot more dynamic markings and even extra notes that don't appear in the Henle editions. As my coach pointed out, many of those notations are suggestions...

By Far The Best Edition
If you have yet to use a Henle Urtext edition for Bach or Beethoven in particular, you do not know what you are missing. This is one of the most, if not the most, reliable, scholarly, and well laid out editions you can buy. Very much a worthwhile investment.

A pianist must have
I am a piano performance major and can easily say this is the best edition to get. Dover and others have mistakes and poor fingers. This edition is worth every penny and is one of the best investments you can make as a pianist. I recommend getting it covered and...
