Hetfield + Hammett = The Best Metal EVER
It was Kirk Hammett who played all the solos in Kill 'Em All, Mustaine helped with writing the songs, Then Hammett listened to Mustaines solos from the demo and changed there core, there are still bits and pieces of Mustaines work on the solos but it was Hammett that made them what they are. James Plays all the Rhythm parts for guitar, which if i must say so myself are the some of the best pure Metal riffs ever in the history of Thrash and Heavy Metal. I have no idea about the book, I learned all the songs on my own.

Hammett or Mustaine . . . So What
This book is perfect all the way through. This book will guaruante improvement in your rhythm and soloing skills once you get the hang of some of the songs. Not to add more fuel to the fire, but does it really matter who did what. Kirk and Dave are great guitarist, Kirk being great at soloing and Dave being awesome at rhythm. So people should'nt %$%#$ about it, just as long as the songs were created should matter the most. This Metallica and Megadeth rivalry is getting kinda old. Metallica and Megadeth are kick-ass bands in there own ways. But anyways I recommend this book to any Metallica fan or thrash metal fan.

Mustallica
This is not a forum. It really doesn't matter who wrote the music when it comes to the quality of the book. If anyone had any sense they would know exactly who wrote the music. The question is how good is the book.

Hammet did the damn solos, you guys. The book rocks and so does the album. Compare Megadeth and Metallica there is no comparison. Like Master of Puppets Hammet did all the solos. AND LOOK AT MEGADETH'S SOLOS IT SUCKS COMPARED TO METALLICA! ALSO FUCK MUSTAINE, YOU RETARDS!

hahaha
the book is pretty accurate, all the songs written by dave mustaine are there and so is his music.i know every one said that kirk said he wrote 90% of the solos ,but in 1988 even metallica said dave did the solos .kirk is good but so over-rated,he pales to mustaine.whats sad is that the songs in which mustaine wrote on the album are their best, sad to know on a anothers man skill they got famous but who cares when you have slayer.

Kirk Hammett is the best
Kirk can really play the guitar! He did most of the solos ok guys? The guy who said that all the solos are Mustaine's is wrong! Mustaine only helped to write the songs Four Horsemen, Jump in the Fire, Phantom Lord and Metal Militia. If you don't believe me, buy the album yourself and read the credits in the manual

Metallica Forever!
The transcriptions in this book are spot on to both lead and rhythem licks. The solos take a hell of a lot of practice but will greatly improve both SPEED and ACCURACY in your playing. Oh yeah Hammett did the solos, Mustaine helped right the songs (accept it megadeth fans).

Kirk joined.....
right after Dave was kicked out. And Kirk played the lead's on Kill em all this is what he said " I was told to start the solos like him so for the sake of...." So basically all he did was start it the same as Dave's. I didnt really find this book helpful everything was just much too easy. I didnt really find anything challenging about it at all.

mustaine or hammett
will you people shut the fuck up about mustaine and hammett? It pisses me off when i wanna read a review of this book and all i see is people saying it was kirk hammett or it was dave mustaine, personally, i think it was kirk hammett playing the solos, but he basically just copied them from dave's demos. anyway, i dont really care, because whoever did do this album is awesome, and i just wanna learn how to play it! well, i havent bought the book yet, i just wanted to tell everyone to stop posting stuff on here if all you're gonna say is "mustaine/hammett did the solos you retards" and not say anything about the book itself

Kirk recorded the album!
yes, kirk hammett did record the solos to "kill 'em all." If you ever buy the guitar book, "the art of kirk hammet" it tells u that he did! Mustaine just did the demos. the reason mustaine's name is in the book at all is because he helped write the songs. I used to think that mustaine did the solos too, until I bought the book, "art of kirk hammett" and it tells you that kirk recorded the album. Anyway, this book rocks and contains some awesome songs to improve your playing.

Metallica Rocks!
Everyone who knows anything about metal knows that Metallica is the greatest band of all time. All of those other reviews who say Mustaine is the man are wrong. Mustaine can never mature musically. All the credit should go to Metallica for Kill'em All. Just look at where Metallica is, and what they have done in their career, and then look at Megatdeth. There is no comparison. Metallica Rocks!

megadeth
this was metallica's best album and mustaine had a lot to do with it. you can clearly hear how he influnced this album. by listening to megadeth's first few albums you can hear that kill 'em all sound to um. listen to the metallica albums after kill 'em all and you hear a whole differnt style in guitar and solo. over all this album's excellent and diffinitely worth learning

Dave Mustaine deserves credit
Great book that hit all of Mustaine's solos right on the head. The tab for "Seek and Destroy" is amazing in its accuracy. Credit shouldn't be given to Kirk Hammett for this record, as I believe he had NOTHING to do with it.

Dave Mustaine buddy!
If you were true metallica fans you would all know that Kirk joined Metallica during the making of Ride the Lightning, so this is Megadeth's frontman Dave Mustaine's hardcore thrash solos there. If you like this then you'll drool for Megadeth, because Mustaine ( in my opinion) is way better that Kirk Hammett, just give Mustaine some respect, damnit!

I LOVE THIS GUY
What can I say. This book clearly defines the album and every fast wicked note pumped out by the man, Kirk Hammet. This guy is amazing. His sheer speed and the clarity of each note make for some awesome live performances and even more so, awesome solos. But don't forget Hetfield who plays some of the meanest riffs around. BUY THIS BOOK. YOU WILL BUILD SPEED and your DEXTERITY.

Can you say thrash?
Wow, what a great way to start off a career. Metallica breaks onto the scene with a speedy thrash metal record that cuts through everything. All the notes in this book are right on, and what's even more impressive about this is that Kirk's solos are some of the hardest solos to copy because of the speed and licks he uses. James' rhythm technique is all out metal and Cherry Lane gets it all. Some of the best tracks to learn are: 4 Horsemen, Jump in the Fire, Whiplash and Seek and Destroy. Purchase this book and you'll be off to the races, literally, it's that fast! This album defines metal, so learn to play it by getting the tab book.
