My Favorite Gillock Piece
This piece is a level 4 recital number that represents the best of Gillock's writing style. The piece features crisp forearm staccato chords and exciting left hand runs that imitate the sound of a horse racing through the night. I think of Paul Revere's ride or a criminal chase on horseback. The piece has "pupil saver" written all over it! If a student plays this in a recital, every other student you have is going to want to learn it for the next one! Buy lots of copies.
