Jazz, Rags & Blues-Book 4
Bought these for my students to get away from the standard classical style of playing. The 9 songs in this book have different style rhythms from blues,Jazz, and Ragtime. This book 4 has some very good syncopated rhythms, plus I have the students also add some improv. or change the note durations along with what is written to make the songs sound more lively. Songs in this series are pretty good as written. The Book 4 is easy to read and well organized. Songs are 1 or 2 pages in length. The songs are a series to get into pop/blues/Rag to learn basic syncopated rhythms. Book 4 is for the late intermediate student throughout the book. All 5 Levels of this series are pretty good learning books. Variety of Blues, Jazz, and Ragtime songs from easy to the intermediate/advanced playing student. All the songs have very interesting styles to them. hope this helps. pianomanDT

fun to play for a change of pace
I enjoyed these pieces. They're easy to learn but complex enough to be interesting. A nice change of pace for a classical pianist!

Easy and fun
My grandaughter was tired of her classical music books and was delighted with this one. Makes her sound good.

Talented Composer
Great tunes -not too hard but sound terrific. Only one problem, the songs are too short.

Delightful!
I'm a senior who has been playing since childhood. I've never really played much of this style of music. I'm having such fun! I cannot play by ear, nor improvise much. This music is easy enough to sight-read and sounds terrific! I also have Book 3 and really look forward to Book 5 and more!

Awsome Music!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your music is so great! I haven't played all of the songs in this book, but of the songs I have played, I have just loved it. Jazz and Blues are my favorite type of music! My favorite songs are Jackson Street Blues, and Trumpetman. I think this is great challenging music, and I love challenging music!Your music really inspires me. When is the 5th book going to be published? Sincerely, Matthew Trader

I like it
I have finally found a way to play jazz & blues that makes me feel warm and cozy. I do not play by ear and this is the first series that I have found that satisfies my own musical need . Thanks so much. Let me know when book 5 will be published.
