Amazing Music!

Excellent transcriptions of James Booker's unique style of playing the piano. Each of the different styles is explained in the introduction. Simpler tunes like "Pop's Dilemma" contrast with difficult pieces like "Papa Was A Rascal" and "Pixie". The music is all fun to play.

Booker Songbook excellent

Josh Paxton has done a fantastic job capturing the music of James Carroll Booker. There's also a great background on Booker. If you are into New Orleans style piano you should definitely check this one out.
