Bach Two Part Inventions
Everybody knows that every pianist has to play at least some of these. You should play them at the beginning and the end of your career.

Bach 2 part inventions
Just as hard as they were when I started with them 80 years ago, but a nice clear copy and a good standard edition

Another of Bach's perennial favorites
These miniature masterpieces are valuable as exercises for both hands, introductions to counterpoint, and recitals.

Very Good Edition
If you're like me, you want trustworthy editions even though you may not be sure which ones are best for a given composer. I remember my college days when my teacher would tell me to get the Kalmus this, or the Tovey that. The Peters this, not the Dover that. Anyway I don't remember the Inventions edition I had in college (it was so long ago), but this one seems to have everything I need. Including a table of ornaments. It has the first Invention's first ornament the way I remember seeing it; I've seen other versions that have it printed differently. And that just confuses my eye. Anyway, I like this edition a lot and use it with my students.

An old friend recovered
It's been more than fifty years since I started playing these Inventions. As soon as I had the notes in front of me again, they all came back to my fingers. Playing them makes me happy. What more can you ask?
