Intermezzo
This arrangement is nicely done - the harmonies as scored for concert band work really well, and the catchy motif developed in the tune will stick with everyone in the band until well after you've finished playing it. Aside from the Flute solo, the rest of the band can cruise through the piece and still make it sound good. It's great to see a classic piece such as this made accessable to players of mixed skill levels that still sounds like the real deal (ie the effect isn't dumbed down to suit early-intermediate to intermediate level players). Sounds superb in a cathedral as my band played it recently. Recommended.

Nice and moderate piece for concert band
I purchased this piece (Intermezzo from the opera Carmen) especially for our community concert band. We played it first today and all the members were so encharmed with this arrangement that I can recommend it to all concert bands in the world. It sounds mellow and very nice. And it is quite easy. A lovely piece of music
We use this in a wind band with about 24 musicians and it works perfectly. It is a good arrangement with solo parts for flute, clarinet and oboe. There are alternate parts if you don't have oboe.
