The elements used to create this piece came from diverse sources, including fragments of a Russian folk melody and a Jewish text, but the message is universal: hope and firm belief will eventually reign victorious over the greatest of odds, be they prejudice, hate, or fear of death. Limited ranges, an a cappella middle section, and a brief narration all contribute to the effectiveness of this accessible song of hope.

Great Piece!
This piece has a beautiful harmony and an interesting history. When you realize what this song is really saying, you are sure to be moved by the depth of the words. Inscription of Hope makes for an excellent choir piece.
