I'm a Quartet (11 Well-Known Pieces for Solo Violin as Part of a String Quartet). Arranged by Various. For Violin. Fentone Instrumental Books. Play Along. Book with CD. 20 pages. Fentone Music #F836. Published by Fentone Music (HL.44001555).

Now you can make music in a unique way by playing the first violin part in a real string quartet – on your own! You can play these eleven classics by famous composers like a real soloist but still within the intimate atmosphere of a string quartet. Another dimension will be added to your playing when you use the CD to play along with these pieces as your solo playing and the CD will form a complete string quartet. This will enable you to explore this genre of chamber music in your own time and the practice will also stand you in good stead when playing with other string quartet musicians in the future.

Takes the work out of practicing!

This set provides a unique opportunity to play as member of a string quartet. The CD accompaniments takes the work out of practicing! Very enjoyable!

A pleasant and fun book

The songs are familiar, it is fun to play with the quartet. Both the CD and book are good.

Entertaining

I reach for this collection frequently when I don't want to work too hard to make good music. The Boccherini is a delight to play. Only occasionally does the accompaniment become overwhelming - as perhaps on the Pachelbel. I recommend it.
