rock is dead
another feeble attempt by hal lennard to feed us a line of how to rock. this book has no place in my library because it is not accurate, full of mistakes, and is not the way rock music is supposed to be played. it is to be played with feeling and emotion which niether the book or this so called muscian has. I personally feel this book should be how not to play because it relies on cheap unrealistic lousy sounding musical tabs. good luck making any real music after purchasing this jewel.

pretty much covers everything i needed to learn
the lessons are easy to follow. it comes with a cd on how to play the tricks. the only complaint i have is that the cd isn't organized too well. i mean, the audio cd is divided by parts (i.e. part I,II, etc). however its not too much of a problem for me anyway. all in all, great book. if i were to buy another guitar lessons book, i would go for troy stetina's work.

Learn to showoff
This book is for accomplished metal guitarists who'd like to add a little extra 'spice' to their playing - especially when they're playing live on stage. Some neats tricks here but they are only tricks - its not a good book if you want to learn metal guitaring!
