The editors Gold and Fizdale were trained in Juilliard (under Rosina Lhevinne if I remember correctly). That just goes to show the quality of this work. A Giant Step Forward
Initially mind-boggling for the Hanon player. Presents real learning problems in fast two-voiced playing of different rhythmic patterns. Also, the exercises sound much better than the original Hanon. in my opinion, an excellent work which deserves wider publicity. This work is quick to identify technical problems. Great ...except that you have to keep on doing
Very good book for keeping your fingers in a good shape and ready to play other pieces after...if you want to fully benefit from it, you have to finish the book first, and after to keep practicing day by day increasing the speed gradually. Is like having a meal special...
