I use this book for teaching beginning students of all ages and find it very easy to adapt to their individual needs. I have tried other method books and keep coming back to this one. I do wish it had a companion theory book and/or a "fun" book with more...

Emphasis on Note-Reading
I've used this book to teach guitar classes for some 8 "semesters" at a large United Methodist church--teens and adults. Thorough music- and note-reading. Fun to pick the melodies along with the CD. Teens don't seem to mind the corny "rock" songs. Chords are interspersed, but most students want more...
